§ 2.32.080. Court security programs and reimbursement of capital costs incurred for maintaining judicial departments.

  • (a) Except as otherwise provided in NRS 19.034, on the commencement of any civil action or proceeding in the district court for which a filing fee is required, and on the filing of any answer or appearance in any such action or proceeding for which a filing fee is required, the clerk of the court shall charge and collect an additional twenty dollars from the party commencing, answering, or appearing in the action or proceeding. This fee shall be used to provide for programs for court security and to reimburse the county for any capital costs incurred for maintaining any judicial departments that are added by the 75 th Session of the Nevada Legislature and any additional uses provided for by the 75 th Session of the Nevada Legislature. This fee is in addition to any other fee required by law.

    (b)

    On or before the fifth day of each month the clerk of the court shall account for and pay over to the county treasurer any such fees collected by him during the proceeding month for credit to an account for programs for court security in the county general fund.
