§ 2.32.090. Fee authorized to be charged and collected by county recorder for legal services for abused and neglected children.

  • (a) Pursuant to the authority granted to a board of county commissioners in NRS 247.305, a fee of three dollars is imposed for the recording of a document, instrument, paper, notice, deed, conveyance, map, chart, survey, or any other writing in the office of the county recorder; except that no fee shall be charged under this section for recording the originally signed copy of a certificate of marriage described in NRS 122.120 or for recording the declaration of value in relation to deeds evidencing a transfer of title to real property described in NRS 375.060. In addition, no fee shall be charged to state and local governments exempt from paying fees to the county recorder pursuant to NRS 247.305. The fee imposed pursuant to this section shall be in addition to any other fee required by law.

    (b)

    On and after October 1, 2017, the amount of the fee imposed pursuant to this section and collected by the county recorder shall be increased from three dollars to five dollars.

    (c)

    On or before the fifth day of each month, the county recorder shall pay the amount of fees collected by him or her pursuant to this section to the county treasurer. On or before the fifteenth day of each month, the county treasurer shall remit the money received from the county recorder to the organization operating the program for legal services for the indigent that receives the fees charged pursuant to NRS 19.031 and Clark County Code Section 2.32.040. All such fees must be used to provide legal services for abused and neglected children.
