§ 2.32.030. Divorce, annulment or separate maintenance suits.

  • (a) Authorization. A fee, in and for the county of Clark, is established under and in pursuance of an act of the state of Nevada, entitled "an act relating to dissolution of marriage; providing for the appointment of a referee authorizing the imposition of an additional fee; and providing other matters properly relating thereto," approved February 4, 1985.

    (b)

    Fee. On the appearance of a defendant, in an action for divorce, annulment, or separate maintenance, in addition to any other fees provided by law, the clerk of district court shall charge and collect from the defendant the fee of five dollars to be paid upon the filing of the first paper in an action by the defendant. On or before the fifth day of each month, the clerk of district court shall account for and pay to the county treasurer all fees collected during the preceding month pursuant to the ordinance codified in this section.
