§ 2.32.026. Account for promotion of wedding tourism.

  • (a) There is hereby created a special revenue fund to be designated as the "account for the promotion of wedding tourism." The money in this account must be used by the county clerk only to promote wedding tourism in the county and must not be used to replace or supplant any money available to fund the regular operations of the office of the county clerk. Any interest earned on money in the account, after deducting any applicable charges, must be credited to the account. Money that remains in the account at the end of a fiscal year does not revert to the county general fund, and the balance in the account must be carried forward to the next fiscal year.

    (b)

    On or before July 1 of each year, the county clerk shall submit a report to the board of county commissioners of the projected expenditures of the money in the account for the following fiscal year.
