§ 2.03.010. Creation.

  • The department of business license (department) is hereby created as a department within the framework of the county government of Clark County, Nevada, and is authorized and established for the following purposes:

    (a)

    Issuing business, liquor, and gaming licenses;

    (b)

    Renewing, when appropriate, business, liquor, and gaming licenses;

    (c)

    Collecting application fees, licensing fees, and other related fees required for licensure and/or renewal of a license;

    (d)

    Investigating applicants for regulated and privileged licenses;

    (e)

    Inspecting the premises of proposed and existing businesses,

    (f)

    Investigating complaints of alleged licensing violations;

    (g)

    Enforcing the licensing provisions of the Clark County Code, state statutes, and all other licensing laws, ordinances, rules and regulations adopted by the board of county commissioners and/or the liquor and gaming licensing board;

    (h)

    Conducting audits of business, liquor, and gaming licenses; and

    (i)

    Performing other duties and responsibilities as directed by the board of county commissioners and/or the liquor and gaming licensing board or as delineated in Clark County Code and state statutes.
