This chapter shall apply only to false reports or allegations of fires, crimes and
other incidents which allegedly occurred in the unincorporated areas of Clark County;
however, if the fire, disaster, accident or crime falsely reported is alleged to have
happened or to have been committed in the unincorporated area of the county, it matters
not that the alleged incident was reported to a law enforcement agency other than
Clark County's, as long as it can be shown that such report was made irresponsibly,
recklessly or intentionally, either for personal gain, personal gratification, malicious
mischief, or on the basis of any subterfuge whatsoever.
