§ 7.50.060. License application requirements.

  • Prior to commencing business operations in the unincorporated areas of Clark County, the applicant shall:

    (a)

    File a written application with the director on a form to be provided by the department and shall be investigated for personal suitability by the Las Vegas metropolitan police department (LVMPD);

    (b)

    Pay all required business license fees as provided by this chapter;

    (c)

    Pay all investigative fees as required by Section 6.08.115 of this code; and

    (d)

    Pay a nonrefundable application-processing fee as provided by Clark County Code Section 6.08.030.

    (e)

    In addition to the information required by Clark County Code Chapter 6.08, the applicant shall also furnish the following information to the director as part of or in addition to the application:

    (1)

    The type of ownership of the pedicab business, i.e., sole proprietor, partnership, corporation, limited liability company or otherwise;

    (2)

    The name and description for the business which is to be conducted;

    (3)

    The following personal information concerning the owners and all principals as defined in Section 7.50.020:

    (A)

    Name, sex, residence address and residence telephone number,

    (B)

    Previous residence addresses from the time all owners' and all principals' eighteenth birthdays,

    (C)

    Written proof that each such person is over the age of eighteen years,

    (D)

    Height, weight, color of hair and eyes,

    (E)

    Two front-view full-face portrait photographs taken within thirty days before the date of the application and two inches by two inches in size,

    (F)

    All criminal convictions including misdemeanor traffic violations, for the five-year period immediately preceding the date of application, fully disclosing the offense for which convicted, the date of the conviction, the jurisdiction in which convicted and the sentence imposed;

    (4)

    If the pedicabs are motorized, proof of a valid certificate of public convenience and necessity issued by the Nevada Transportation Services Authority.

    (f)

    Such other information that is consistent with the requirements of this section to protect the morals, health, safety and general welfare of the inhabitants of Clark County;

    (g)

    Two signed authorizations allowing the director, or anyone designated by the director, and the LVMPD, or its agents, to seek information and conduct an investigation to validate the statements set forth in the application;

    (h)

    Written declaration by the applicant, under penalty of perjury, that the information contained in and supplied with the application is true and correct, said declaration being duly signed, dated and notarized; and

    (i)

    Any other information determined to be necessary by the director.
