§ 3.30.030. Elected town advisory boards—Election—Filing procedure.

  • (a) The provisions of this section and Section 3.30.040 apply to the following town advisory boards that are located in towns that are twenty-five miles or more from an incorporated city whose population is five hundred thousand or more: Bunkerville, Laughlin, Moapa, Moapa Valley, and Searchlight.

    (b)

    Each elected town advisory board shall be composed of five members. Each member of the elected town advisory board shall be a resident and qualified elector in the town.

    (c)

    The office of town advisory board member is nonpartisan and members are elected pursuant to Section 3.30.040.

    (d)

    The board of county commissioners or their designee shall provide adequate notice to the town advisory board and residents of the town in order to allow sufficient time to file for office before the filing deadline. All candidates for office are subject to all applicable election and campaign finance laws.
