§ 2.05.020. Responsibilities.

The department of juvenile justice services shall administer the provision of services relating to the delinquency of children with respect to matters arising under Chapter 62 of the Nevada Revised Statutes or otherwise within the jurisdiction of the juvenile court. As used in this chapter, "matters otherwise within the jurisdiction of juvenile court" means and includes any delinquency proceeding that would be within the jurisdiction of the juvenile division of the district court if it were pending in a judicial district in which a family court has not been established. The department may also carry out programs relating to the prevention of juvenile delinquency.
