§ 7.36.068. Statement of wedding rates to be posted.

  • (A) The owner or operator of any wedding chapel or other establishment at which weddings are performed shall post and maintain in a prominent and conspicuous place in the office or reception room thereof a statement of rates and charges for all services. Such statement of rates, and charges shall be in the form of a printed sign with clearly discernible red lettering on a white background, said lettering to be not less than three-eighths inch high.

    (B)

    It is unlawful for any wedding chapel or other establishment at which weddings are performed to charge more than the posted rates, or to require a condition of securing services not posted or previously agreed upon by all parties.

    (C)

    The owner or operator of any wedding chapel or other establishment at which weddings are performed shall prior to performing any wedding, present to the prospective groom a detailed statement of all services to be performed and articles to be furnished, together with the respective charges therefor, and receive from the prospective groom a signed acknowledgment of the receipt of such statement.
