§ 6.80.160. Solicitation in another state.

  • It is unlawful for any person to deliver, direct or refer any unit that has been illegally solicited outside the unincorporated areas of Clark County to any land sales presentation held within the unincorporated areas of the county, and it is unlawful for such person to receive, or for any other person knowingly to pay to such person, any fee or compensation with respect to such illegal solicitation. For the purposes of this section, and without limiting the generality of the definition of "knowingly" contained in Section 6.80.010, the person paying such fee or compensation is chargeable with and shall be presumed to have knowledge of the fact that the solicitation with respect to which such fee or compensation is paid was illegally made if the person to whom the same is paid does not then hold a valid license hereunder.
