§ 6.56.070. Bond required.

  • Every applicant, except for a merchant conducting a temporary store selling items for twenty-five dollars or less and seasonal sellers of firewood, Christmas trees, and pumpkins, for a license shall file with the director of business license a two thousand dollar cash bond or a surety bond running to the county in the amount of two thousand dollars with a surety licensed by the state of Nevada conditioned that the applicant shall pay fully all business license fees due as a result of the operation of the business. The proceeds from the cash or surety bond shall be forfeited to Clark County if business license fees are not paid within thirty days of demand for such fees which is made upon the licensee by the department of business license or if adequate books and records required by Section 6.08.090 are not made available to the department of business license within thirty days after demand for such is made.
