§ 6.52.040. License application.
All applications for license shall be made in writing on forms provided by the director of business license and filed in his office. Every application for a license shall then be forwarded to the sheriff. The applicant shall present himself to the sheriff and provide the following:
(a)
The full name, age, residence, present and previous occupations;
(b)
That each person signing the application is a citizen of the United States;
(c)
A specific description of the location of the principal place of business of the applicant;
(d)
A full set of fingerprints and a recent photograph;
(e)
That the applicant has had two years prior experience as a private detective or law enforcement officer;
(f)
That the applicant has been a bona fide resident of the state for a period of six months immediately preceding the filing of the application;
(g)
Such other information as to the identity of the applicant as to facilitate a proper investigation of the applicant's character and reputation.
If the applicant is an individual the application shall be signed by that individual. If the applicant is a firm or partnership the application shall be signed by each individual composing or intending to compose such firm or partnership. If the applicant is a corporation the application shall be signed by the officers thereof and shall specify the name of the corporation and the amount of the corporation's outstanding paid-up capital stock. The application shall also be accompanied by a duly certified copy of its certificate of incorporation. All of the requirements of this section shall apply to and be required of each person required by this section to be a signatory to an application.
