§ 6.24.150. Unlawful to receive goods from drunkards and/or minors.

  • It shall be unlawful for any pawnbroker, pawnshop keeper, motor vehicle pawn broker, his servant or employee to receive any goods, articles or things in pawn or pledge from a person who is intoxicated, or known by the pawnbroker, pawnshop keeper, motor vehicle pawn broker, his servant or employee to be a habitual drunkard, any habitual user of controlled substance, habitual criminal, any known receiver of stolen property, or known associate of a thief or receiver of stolen property, whether the person is acting in his own behalf or as the agent of another, an insane person, or a person under the age of eighteen years without the written or personal consent of the parent or legal guardian of such minor.
