§ 6.20.110. Permit issuance or denial.

  • (a) The film administrator shall issue or deny the permit to the applicant within three working days from receipt of an application and fees and upon compliance with the requirements of this chapter and any applicable provisions of Title 6 of this code. Failure of the film administrator to approve or deny the permit within three working days shall result in the permit being granted.

    (b)

    The film administrator shall consider the application by examination of:

    (1)

    The information provided within the submitted application;

    (2)

    The proposed filming operation of the applicant;

    (3)

    The recommendations from fire, traffic management and LVMPD as applicable;

    (4)

    The applicant's compliance with the provisions of this chapter.

    (c)

    The film administrator shall not grant the permit if:

    (1)

    The applicant has not complied with the provisions of this chapter;

    (2)

    The filming as proposed by the applicant would not comply with all applicant laws, including, but not limited to, this title and the county's fire and traffic management regulations as well as the LVMPD requirements;

    (3)

    The applicant has failed to provide all required information.

    (d)

    If the applicant is denied, the film administrator shall notify the applicant in writing with the reason(s) stated for denial. Notification may be made in person or sent certified, United States mail, return receipt requested, to the address provided on the permit application which shall be considered the correct address. Each applicant has the burden to furnish any change of address in writing to the film administrator either in person or by United States certified mail, return receipt requested.

    (e)

    In the event the permit is denied, the applicant may file or cause to be filed in the district court a petition for judicial examination of the validity of the denial of the filming permit as provided by NRS 34 et seq.
