§ 6.12.723. Motor transportation service.

  • Defined as any person who provides passenger transportation service for hire, excluding taxi service, shall pay a license fee of fifty dollars per vehicle semiannually. Any person providing the transportation of passengers must be properly permitted by the state of Nevada Transportation Service Authority per NRS Chapter 706. Those vehicles devoted exclusively to public transport as designated by a unit of local government within the county are exempt from this requirement. Persons who manage and operate a public transportation service on behalf of a local government shall be exempt from this section but must comply with Section 6.12.675 of this chapter.
