§ 3.68.030. Members generally.

  • The members of the committee representing each city shall be appointed by the governing body of the respective cities and shall be non-voting members. The at-large members of the committee shall be appointed by the board of county commissioners to represent the needs served by community development activities authorized by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. The remaining members of the committee may be nominated by the town advisory boards and citizens advisory councils from the unincorporated towns and areas that they serve, but their appointment shall be reserved to the board of county commissioners. The board of county commissioners may, but need not, appoint members for which no nomination has been made. While serving as a member of the committee, those members representing the cities, unincorporated towns and areas served by a citizens advisory committee shall be residents of the cities, towns or areas from which they were appointed. Each member shall serve at the pleasure of the body which appointed such member.
