§ 2.73.110. Report of irregularities.

  • If during an audit, the auditor becomes aware of abuse or irregularities or indications of such acts that could affect the county or its agencies, the audit director shall report the irregularities to the county manager. Cases involving irregularities where the county manager is believed to be a party to abuse or illegal acts, the audit director shall report the acts directly to the board of county commissioners. If it appears that the irregularity is criminal in nature, the audit director shall immediately notify the district attorney's office in addition to those officials previously cited.
