§ 20.10.040. Violation—Penalty.

Whenever in this chapter any act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or whenever in this chapter the doing of an act is required and the failure to do such required act is declared to be unlawful or a misdemeanor, the doing of such prohibited act or the failure to do such required act constitutes a violation of this chapter. Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not more than six months, or by any combination of such fine and imprisonment. Any day of any violation of this chapter constitutes a separate offense.
