§ 15.20.010. Penalties for violations.

  • A. OPERATOR. Any person, firm or corporation licensed and franchised as a taxicab operator, who is convicted of violating any of the provisions of this title, state law, or rules or regulations of the Public Service Commission, shall be subject to having his or its taxicab owner-operator's license to do business in Clark County revoked and taxicab owner-operator's franchise cancelled.

    B.

    LICENSED DRIVER. Any person holding a taxicab driver's permit who is convicted of violating any of the provisions of this title, state law, or rules and regulations of the Public Service Commission, if the offense involved is within the provisions hereof, shall be subject to having his permit to drive a taxicab in Clark County suspended or revoked.

    C.

    MISDEMEANOR. Any person violating any provision of this title, state law, or rules or regulations of the Public Service Commission, if the offense involved is within the provisions hereof, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars; or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed six months; or by both such fine and imprisonment.

    D.

    SEPARABLE AND CUMULATIVE. The foregoing penalties shall be deemed, and may be imposed, both severally and cumulatively.
