The sheriff shall make provision for and require scheduled inspections of any and
all taxicabs operating, or intended for operation and the rendition of service to
the public within Clark County, as herein provided, inclusive of taxicab meters and
other equipment connected therewith, to determine their sufficiency, mechanical fitness,
suitability, correctness, and safety, for the public interest and welfare.
