§ 14.52.010. Traffic laws apply to persons riding bicycles.

Every person riding a bicycle upon a roadway shall be granted all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of a vehicle except as to special provisions in Sections 14.52.020 through 14.52.070, inclusive, and except as to those provisions of this title which by their nature can have no application. Law enforcement officers acting within the scope and course of their employment are exempt from compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
