§ 14.28.050. When overtaking on the right is permitted.

  • The driver of a vehicle may overtake and pass upon the right of another vehicle only under the following conditions:

    (a)

    When the vehicle overtaken is making or signaling to make a left turn and there is space on the roadway for two or more lines of traffic moving in the direction such vehicles are proceeding;

    (b)

    Upon a highway in an urban district with unobstructed pavement not occupied by parked vehicles of sufficient width for two or more lines of moving vehicles in the direction in which the driver is moving.

    The driver of a vehicle may overtake and pass another vehicle upon the right only under conditions permitting such movement in safety.
