§ 12.16.025. Unauthorized sale of badges.

It is unlawful for any person to sell or transfer any official police officer's badge, special police officer's badge, reserve officer's badge, or retired police officer's badge which purports to be an official badge issued by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, or which is so similar thereto that a reasonable man, at first glance, could not distinguish that it was not an official issue badge, without the written authorization of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Such persons may deliver such badges only to said police department and may manufacture only the authorized number of badges.
